Why We Will Defeat Islam

I delivered the following speech at the American Freedom Alliance's event in August. Thank you to the organizers and everyone who came out to be a part of it.

We’re winning. I know it’s a farfetched idea right now.

There’s an Islamic terrorist attack every week or every few days. A bomb goes off. A man with a, quote unquote, history of psychiatric problems, takes a machete, a gun or a truck to a bunch of non-Muslims while shouting Allahu Akbar, and the media repeats the same old lies. You know the lies. I don’t need to repeat them.

How can we be winning then?

I’m going to ask you to switch around your way of thinking.

As counterjihadists, we spend as much time fighting the big lie, the one that Islam isn’t the problem, that maybe there are a tiny minority of extremists who have misunderstood Islam, they read the Koran upside down and decided that peace really meant war and love meant murder. We throw ourselves against the lie. We try to beat it down. But the lie is dying.

To understand why, we need to understand what the lie is. The lie is denial. It’s an effort to stop the inevitable. The inevitable is the clash of civilizations. It’s the war between Islam and the free world.

Think of the bank executive embezzling money to feed his cocaine habit. And making new excuses for where the money is going. Or the cheating husband who keeps making up new excuses to his wife.

They’re going to get caught and they know that they are going to get caught. Their lies are buying time.

The media excuses for Islamic terrorism are buying time. The excuses are buying Islamic terrorists another year or another decade. We know how this works.

Before World War 2, they used every excuse to prevent the free world from doing anything about Hitler. They didn’t prevent the war. They couldn’t prevent the war. Because Hitler was always going to invade. The Muslim terrorists are invading. There is no question that we are going to have to fight them.

The only question is how much time will it take. How much damage will they do before we are free to fight back. That is what is at stake.

How many countries will the Jihad take over before we are free to fight back? How many of us will be murdered in Islamic terrorist attacks in the coming years?

The lies we see in the media, the Muslim terrorists who are all lone wolves, herds and herds of lone wolves roaming our cities, the Islamic terrorists who all have psychiatric problems, are not a cause, they’re a symptom.

The lies, the ones referenced by many of the other fine speakers today, get worse as the problem gets worse. Because they’re a desperate effort by the deniers, the deniers of Islamic terrorism, the deniers of Islam, the defenders of the failed multicultural model, to stop the inevitable. To many of you it might look like they’re winning. We’re isolated and they control the media. They are the official experts and the authorities. They are in charge.

But they’re losing. And they know they’re losing. That’s why the lies are getting desperate.

As Muslim terrorism gets worse, we rise and they fall.

The bad news is that Islamic terrorism is going to get worse. And the good news is that it’s going to get worse.

No I’m not confused. The two are one and the same. Think about it.

America isn’t weak. So how come we can’t beat the terrorists? Why are we still fighting and dying?

We’re not weak. We’re indecisive. The terrorists shock us and play on our sympathies. They disguise themselves, they walk among us and then when they get caught, the media says they’re misunderstood.

The stronger the terrorists become, the weaker they get. Their greatest strength is weakness. In our society, monsters who claim to be weak, oppressed or misunderstood get away with murder.

When they take off their masks and stop pretending to be victims and come out of the closet as oppressors, that is when they become really vulnerable.

ISIS is the next step in Islamic terrorism. That doesn’t mean that ISIS will win or that it’s going to be around for even another few years. But Islamic terrorism, the kind that involves suicide bombings or flying planes into buildings, is a phase.

It’s phase one. In phase one, the terrorists work within a civilian population and strike for maximum shock value. When a society is weak enough, they take over and control territory.

That’s what happened with ISIS in Iraq. They hammered the Iraqi authorities with shock attacks and they were so weak that they collapsed. And then ISIS took over. That’s what Islamic terrorists eventually hope to do in Europe. Build up their numbers, smash the local authorities and then just take over.

And then instead of No Go Zones, you have No Go Cities.

There are parts of Europe where they might even be able to do it. And that would be their worst mistake.

Our greatest weakness was that we were divided. That the defenders of Islamic terrorism in the West, both Muslim and non-Muslim, could always offer excuses for it. There were always reasons why we couldn’t hit it as hard as we had to.

The stronger Islamic terrorists become, the stronger we become.

Their strength is never going to match our own. When they try to take us on directly, they will lose.

That’s history.

Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan and the USSR were strongest when they didn’t confront us directly. They went down to defeat once they made the mistake of coming out in the open.

Without Pearl Harbor, Japan would have ruled Asia. If Germany hadn’t declared war on us, Hitler might have been able to hold on to big parts of Europe. The USSR won its biggest victories when it was pretending to be our ally. But the moment it turned on us, the end began. It took a while, but that was when the end began.

Americans are nice people. We like the underdog. We want to give the other guy the benefit of the doubt. Lots of Americans liked Uncle Joe Stalin. They thought that maybe Hitler had a point about Germany being the victim in WW1. And Japan had a point about colonialism in Asia. Hitler, the Communists and Imperial Japan had a good thing going. And they ruined it.

Now Muslim terrorists are making the same mistake. They’re not victims. They’re supremacists. And supremacists might play weak for a while, Hitler did, but they really want to show how strong they are.

Everything ISIS does, every horror they commit, is about showing us how strong they are. Like all the bad guys before them, they mistake our empathy for weakness. And they move in for the kill.

This is the trajectory of Islamic terrorism.

Phase one is shock terrorism. Phase two is the insurgency. Organized forces seize control of territory. They take over entire cities and impose Islamic law. You’ve seen them do it in Iraq and Syria. They want to do it in Europe. They want to do it here. This is how Islam expanded from the very beginning.

Phase three is the Islamic State. ISIS is an example. But so is Saudi Arabia. We’re forgotten just how the Saudis won. And it wasn’t pretty. But it’s when terrorists win that they are at their most vulnerable.

Islamic terrorism of the kind we’ve gotten used to is easy. Put on a bomb vest and blow yourself up. It’s not that hard. What’s hard is actually controlling territory. That’s when you’re vulnerable.

Then you can’t hide among the civilian population. You have to be out in the open. You can’t just use human shields when you have an army. And you need to turn money into services. You have to do all the hard, dirty and difficult jobs of government. Even if you do them as badly as Governor Brown.

A cell of three people somewhere in New Jersey is really hard to disrupt because you don’t know about it. Secrecy is the greatest weapon of Islamic terrorists. It goes out the window when they have a state.

Victimhood becomes much harder. It’s why the PLO and Hamas don’t really want a Palestinian State. They want to demand one until the camels come home. And they want to blame Israel for it.

But actually having a state means having responsibility. You get treated like a country. And you get bombed like a country.

The best weapon that the enemy has isn’t its firepower. It’s not even WMDs. It’s willful blindness in our society. It’s a narrative which says that the terrorists are a tiny minority of extremists and that if we reach out to the moderate majority, everything will work out. It’s a very seductive narrative.

In war, your own weakness often matters more than the other side’s strength. Our weakness is that we want to be the nice guys. Their weakness is that they want to be the tough guys.

Our weakness keeps us from finishing the fight. But their weakness neutralizes our weakness.

The greatest threat to the victory of Islamic terrorists comes from themselves. They make it impossible for themselves to win because they don’t understand us. And we don’t beat them because we don’t understand them.

This cycle plays out a lot. We see it in Israel. We see it with America in the Middle East. We think that a compromise can be achieved, but that myth just drives the cycle of violence. The enemy doesn’t want a compromise. They want to win.

We’re a cooperative society. They’re a hierarchal society. We want new people to come in and contribute. But when they come in, they want a hierarchy in which they’re on top.

The two are not compatible. And the cooperative society starts committing suicide when it tries too hard to cooperate and compromise and work together with an enemy that wants to take over.

The enemy grows in strength by pretending to be weak while we wait for a compromise. Until the enemy makes it obvious to us that there will never be a compromise. And that’s when things get ugly.

Because the lie starts coming apart.

It’s easy to promise that Hitler isn’t a threat when he’s just making noise in a beer hall. It’s harder when he’s invading Poland. If your whole identity is tied up in claiming that Islam isn’t a threat, then the worse the threat becomes, the harder you have to lie.

And when the lies aren’t enough. You have to censor and criminalize. You have to lock people up.

That is where Europe is, as some of today’s courageous speakers have told us. It’s where Australia has ended up. It’s where America is heading. Don’t kid yourself. They will begin locking people up if they get the chance. You’ve seen it with the Innocence of Muslims. Like the bosses of the Soviet Union, they will go to the wall before they lose.

And they will lose.

The entire narrative is built on hiding the truth. Don’t talk about Islamic terrorists or you’ll create them. Don’t call ISIS, Islamic. Pretend that we can compromise and triangulate our way to some settlement. Blame Israel. Blame Islamophobia. Blame anyone who tells the truth about terrorism.

The façade is really impressive. When you watch politicians and the entire media reciting the same talking points day in and day out like lobotomized parrots, it’s daunting. But this is what’s going on behind the curtain. The big lie is dying. Everything you see, the foreign policy of this administration, is an effort to keep the lie alive at any cost. And they’ve failed over and over again.

Withdrawing from Iraq. The Arab Spring. Negotiating with the Taliban. The Iran Deal. Everything they’ve done only accelerated the process that they were trying to suppress.

The good news is that we’re going to win, not just on the battlefield.

But we, and I mean those of us in this room, are going to win the war of ideas.

We’re going to win because the process of getting there will destroy the narrative. Every victory by Muslim terrorists brings the day of truth closer. It destroyed a big piece of the narrative. And you can see that happening all the time.

Israel is a micro example of what’s going to happen. Israel has been compared to the canary in the coal mine. It was pushed into making a deal with the terrorists. There was going to be a two state solution. A Jewish State and a state run by very moderate reformed terrorists. But the moderate terrorists turned out to just be terrorists. Instead of peace, the peace process brought a horrific wave of terrorism. The left tried every excuse. It played on every emotion and it lost. Israelis don’t believe that making peace with terrorists will work and the left keeps losing elections.

The same thing is going to happen in Europe. It’s going to happen in America.

It’ll take longer because our exposure isn’t as bad. You can see the process beginning in Europe because they’re more exposed these days. Americans have tried different solutions, neoconservatives, democracy, appeasement, isolationism. That is part of the process of solving the problem.

When you see the denial all around you, this is the important thing to remember. No lie, no spin and no scam can beat reality. Reality will always win. Reality is going to win.

Everything we’ve gone through since September 11 and even before that has been the reality distortion field, the one that says there’s no such thing as Islamic terrorism, colliding with reality.

If there are days when you get up and think that it’s hopeless, that people will never know the truth and that we’ll be going through the same motions, twenty years from now, don’t.

Every lie that has been told, every media story lying about Islamic terrorism, lying about Hamas and Iran, every piece of propaganda used to support the narrative, is the little Dutch boy with his finger holding back the flood.

But the flood is coming. In fact it’s already here.

When we speak the truth, we are on the side of reality. You’re here because you choose to face reality. And that’s the first step to victory. You can con your way to temporary victories through lies. The left wins temporary victories over reality. And then reality wins. Truth wins. Remember that. The road has been a long one and it’s not over. But the road to victory doesn’t just happen in places like Afghanistan or Iraq, it begins in rooms like these with people like you.

You may not think it can happen. Most people didn’t believe the Soviet Union could fall. But when you get up close, you can sense the desperation at the top and you can see the cracks slowly spreading. And you can recognize that the volume of the lies, the crackdowns on the truth, are signs of desperation.

What you’ve been witnessing is the last days of the Soviet Union when the government lied frantically and desperately about what was going on until reality crushed it.

The next generation of Islamic terrorism will crush the lie. And then we’ll crush it.

Thank you for coming. Thank you for being part of the good fight. And remember, no matter how dark the hour seems, we are winning… and we are going to win.

Thanks, quite brilliant, though I haven't finished the whole article yet. Made me realize the similarity between Islamic ideology and N@zi ideology, and the comparable importance of each.

Thanks for including the transcript!

"lobotomized parrots"

lol, great phrase, very aptly descriptive when applied to MSM :)

Daniel, much more than just eloquent cheer leading, you gave us a scrupulously reasoned positive prognosis of our struggle against Islam. Most painful for me has been watching suicidal inaction in the face of such clear evil. It is an enormous tragedy to bear loss of good human life to this disgusting foe. But we need it to awake and rise to action.

In our present world of scientific and technical wonders, so much good lies within our grasp. The dregs of Man's brutal infancy have seeped and concentrated into the hateful doctrine of Islam. Islam's very compulsion will drive it to extinction. And none too soon.

"We" are not going to win until we realize that if we don't react we are not going to win. My greatest fear is not the lack of a response, but a response that is not strong enough to deal with the problem and ultimately produces a victory for Islam in the long run.

Having put some time into studying Islam I find it remarkable how ignorant we are about the religion. Not only the low information crowd that just does not know, but even a lot of our professional class is either genuinely uninformed or in denial. The current delusion for them is believing the religion can be done in with their liberal humanist dogma. I could go with that if there was success, but so far the "religion of peace" has made an appearance only in the imaginations of some of our professional class.

A follow on from "Infidel":

The symbiosis between the Nazis and the Moslems was a sort of a "trade deal": Hitler wanted help conquering chunks of real-estate AND, more importantly, slaughtering the Jews.

The Mufti of Jerusalem wanted help conquering chunks of real-estate AND, more importantly, slaughtering the Jews. He also wanted the weaponry to achieve this, and Hitler was all to happy to assist.

Comes April 1945, and with the Thousand Year Reich cancelled, things went a bit differently for a year or two.

Enter the Soviets.

THEY started doing deals, and deals within deals, to de-stabilize British and American interests in the eastern Mediterranean (and other places).

The Soviets poured a lot of physical and political resources into this project. Stalin's reasoning for clandestinely assisting the nascent State of Israel seems to have been a bit like one of Baldrick's "cunning plans".

Remember that Stalin was at least as anti-Semitic at heart as his recently-departed western adversary. He was just a little more discrete, however. He seems to have figured that he could export (in the guise of humanitarianism) his own "Jewish Problem" and, in the process, create huge tensions in an area "mentored" by the US and Britain.

A LOT of the military hardware used by the emergent Hagana was funneled in via proxies operating out of Soviet-occupied Czechoslovakia. Interestingly, much of this was weaponry no longer needed by the Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe.

After the 1948 "unpleasantness" failed to produce the desired results, the Soviets started running huge "civil/military" assistance schemes in the region, a part of which was the export of very large numbers of young people from several Arab countries to Moscow and "special" universities.

EXACTLY the same process was repeated a decade later when the Soviets moved into Africa.

Marxism/Leninism and islam have a LOT of similarities in doctrine and methodology.

The catch for the pinkos is that the livestock fanciers HATE the "godless" at least as much as they hate the Jews. Take the weapons and technology, tug the fore-lock and be ready to lop off heads at the earliest opportunity. THEN they can get back to their favourite hobby, tormenting and slaughtering Jews.

Demographics is destiny. 1 billion Muslims. There are two and only two cultures who have the will and the manpower to fight - China and India.

The West, including America is a spent force. We will be Dar Al-Islam far before the clash of civilizations is over.

I wish I could be as optimistic as you are, but the West (i.e North America and Europe) exhibit all sorts of pathologies of which the failed appeasement of Islam is just one. It is a historic fact that civilizations rise and then they decline. Toynbee, Spengler and more recently David Goldman have pointed this out. During the 1930's, both the Japanese and German militarists thought Britain and the US were degenerate societies, interested only in living in luxury and so they thought they could win a war against them. It turned out that they were wrong.
Today, radical Islamists are saying the same thing. However, if we compare Pearl Harbor to 9/11 we see major differences in the consequences of those attacks. Pearl Harbor, instead of making the Americans crawl on their bellies to the Japanese and to accepting their plans for conquest, galvanized the American people to fight back...total war for total victory.
9/11 has not turned out the same way. If Bin Laden were alive today, he could look back and say that the 9/11 attacks achieved everything he could have hoped for. He was hoping that the attacks would drag the US into intervention in the Middle East which would ultimately fail and this would prove to Muslims around the world that the path of radical Islam is the right one and that the Western societies will roll over when confronted with them. True, the US went into Iraq and Afghanistan in a half-hearted way, while attempting at the same tim to appease radical Islam in its Arab-Israeli conflict or recall Bush's statement that Al-Qaida supposedly isn't "real Islam" which he claimed was "moderate". After this fairly tepid foray into confronting radical Islam, the Americans got tired of the whole thing and elected Obama, himself born a Muslim who then decided to chuck the whole thing, which he was only able to partially accomplish, being stuck with a reluctant, partial fight against ISIS, which is only part of the total threat.
Thus, I am afraid I don't see a real commitment on the part of the US and Europe to fight radical Islam, in line with other internal problems that threaten the future of their societies.
I can only hope you are right, but the portents are not positive in my opinion.

I do so appreciate the positive attitude, I wish I could embrace it. What I see is treachery from the top down, though. “We” as in you and I and those around us, in our neighborhoods, cities, and states, are powerless to defeat what those with the wealth and power are orchestrating this time around. The muslim invasion is merely a tool of the new world order pushers. Heathen used like a virus to bring us to our knees so we are too overcome to organize a resistance. The plan is to use them, then clean them out when the time is right. Not before we are a much easier to manage, cowed down number though.

American complacency about what was happening in Europe prior to WW2 might have been a product of media manipulation, but so was our willingness to jump in. All it took was the emotional war cry of Pearl Harbor. Those who made the decisions for us to fight had their reasons to make it happen. The game has changed. Those who make the decisions now have another agenda.

“We” are powerless because we have no leadership, no way to organize resistance. Those who are in power know this. They have no intention of defeating ISIS until the first part of the plan is completed. When the top is corrupt to the core, those at the bottom must reap the destruction that liars and their lies create.

It is true that only gold survives though. The glitter of lies must always fail, in the end. But it’s not an easy road back to basics. Difficult choices must be made.

When to make them? That is the question. http://bagsallpacked.blogspot.com/2016/08/choices.html

My rule of thumb: any historic cultural normalcy over the past 5,000 years, that our hubris has rejected during the past 100 years, is going to inevitably re-manifest. Mankind is always just a couple steps away from the muck, "and then reality wins."

Great article, Daniel. I always gravitate toward you for real answers to our problems. One thing I always have to remind myself about Islam: It is not a religion, but a political system. This is what many people and pundits don't seem to understand, including the so-called President.

I understand that the truth will win out, but, the only catch is the fact(truth)that there are abundant countries and people who are Islamic and have been for a thousand years caught in the lie and cannot seem to get out of the lie, who either want to stay, or are just trapped. What is the cure? Do we use the same Islamic tactics of submit to Democracy or else!?

Daniel, you're brilliant, and I look forward to learning from you each week. You get in my head and stay there.

I don't dispute anything you say here. Very good points.

I'd like to suggest that knowledge alone won't solve the problem. Let's suppose every American, finally understands overnight that "Islam" is our enemy, and this is a Worldwide clash of two civilizations, with only one winner.

Then what?

The Muslims believe they're winning this war, because they are. They don't fear and respect us, and that is the first step we need to take in winning this epic war. Even if you and I convince every Kaffir that Islam is evil, we won't convince the Muslims that Islam is evil. The Muslims believe WE are the evil ones who must be vanquished.

How often do you see Muslims in your comments section or in Robert Spencer's comments section write, "Wow, I've been wrong all along. Thanks for showing me the truth. I'll apostatize immediately." This just doesn't happen. More often, Muslims join these debates to defend Islam, using their variety of well-crafted lies.

As a 21 year US Military Officer and 6 year war vet, I suggest to you that military force, on a scale much larger than our grandfathers used in WWII, will be required to reconcile this conflict.

And we don't have the military, money, time, or the will to invade and occupy 57 Muslim countries. This conflict will only be reconciled with nuclear weapons.

Perhaps we must wait until Tel Aviv, Manhattan, or DC gets vaped first before the West retaliates with nukes. But it's going to happen. Just ask the Iranians. We may as well hit them and others first. Worldwide forced criminalization of Islam is the objective, making the "practice or promotion" of Islam a capital offense everywhere, including within our borders. Of course, I'm not proposing nuking our population; just making Islam a crime.

This is the only strategy I see that will bring us victory in the Islamic War:

"Total War: Extinguishing Islam from Earth"

https://medium.com/@dantriplett/islamic-jihad-is-total-war-for-all-marbles-6c858098b76e#.s88fsz40z

Keep up the great work Daniel, shining the light and extinguishing the lies. You're a genius and a gift from God to His Free People of Earth. The Kaffir needs you.

Stay strong sir, we have a big fight ahead of us.

I concur only partly with Daniel Greenfield. If only we were winning ...
Western civilization, especially in Western Europe, is in a state of profound degeneracy, like Rome was just prior to and during the Barbarian invasion that destroyed it. It is without ideology and sense of purpose. It is also feminized, lacking the internal will and physical strength (both macro and micro) to defend itself against the barbarian/Islamic onslaught. Armies and police forces in most West-European countries have been stripped of their capability to successfully protect borders, outback’s and cities. As such, they will ultimately not be able to guarantee the survival of the State(s) and the security of the native population(s).
The invaders are legion and brutal. They have nothing to lose and all to gain, are willing to conquer, kill, rape, pillage and destroy. They have both ideology and sense of purpose, and they share an extreme hatred of and contempt for Western culture and society. They have multiple Trojan horses in place, are swiftly growing in numbers and are able to act collectively, using modern technology to mobilize and strike. And they live and thrive in a sea of supporters who are not yet perceived as radical and unloyal to the West, but many of whom will very likely choose sides with the enemy as soon as the real battle gets underway. Furthermore, they enjoy guidance and support from powerful and motivated actors outside the battlefield and they are acting under promises and prophecies of victory and the signs that this victory is indeed within reach.
The defenders, on the other hand, are soft and faint hearted, unwilling to use violence, decadent and addicted to materialistic pleasures. They are in state of denial, unable to understand and accept that the barbarian invaders are willing and capable and actually already in the process of destroying all the shining achievements of the West. They lack the collective identity, will and capabilities which are needed to effectively resist existential threats. Therefore, when things get really ugly, they are likely to show a willingness to surrender to and collaborate with the enemy, having adopted the silly illusion that the invaders will settle for sharing.
We are losing.

As an American Catholic Crusader, I know my government has been compromised fully over the past eight years. When Lynch went to San Bernadino to make sure the FBI didn't say anything bad about Muslims and Islam and terrorism, and the FBI took so long trying to figure out a way to make the killers white Americans and couldn't...I knew then that internal war is coming. When your government is compromised and full of the enemy, that government will eventually collapse and we will either have some Third World dictatorship or the people will take their government back. Generations of inbreeding have created the Muslim mindset of violent expansion, but they cannot imagine the scope of resistance they will face in America. I agree the Muslim countries in the Middle East will be nuked. No way around it, and before it's over there will not be a mosque standing in America. The sleeping giant will rise up to slaughter all of them.
