About Me

My name is Daniel Greenfield. I am a blogger and columnist born in Israel and living in New York City. I am a  Shillman Journalism Fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center and a contributing editor at Family Security Matters.

My original biweekly column appears at Front Page Magazine and my blog articles regularly appear at Family Security Matters, the Jewish Press, Times of Israel, Act for America and Right Side News, as well as daily at the Canada Free Press and a number of other outlets. I have a column titled Western Front at Israel National News and my op eds have also appeared in the New York Sun, the Jewish Press and at FOX Nation.

I was named one of the Jewish Press' Most Worthwhile Blogs from 2006-2011 and my writing has been cited by Rush Limbaugh, Melanie Philips, Robert Spencer, Daniel Pipes, Judith Klinghoffer, John Podhoretz, Jeff Jacoby and Michelle Malkin, among others.

My investigative pieces have included the story of Obama and Pfleger, which I was the first to break months before the mainstream media. I also detailed for the first time many of Obama's radical clergy ties, including Farrakhan supporters, as well as exposing Rabbis for Obama as being a front group for Pro-Hamas appeasement supporters.

I revealed that the Vice-President of the Center for American Progress and the new senior adviser for Nancy Pelosi had participated in terrorist fundraising and broke the story of how Ron Paul and Barney Frank had tried to put Soros' associates in charge of destroying America's military.

I have investigated the billionaires funding the Anti-Israel left, the Islamist misogyny, in the new French government, Iran's meth empire , the coverup of Islamic genocide in Nigeria and the lost history of Harlem's Black Hitler. I broke the story of the Secretary of State recognizing a terrorist propagandist with an award as one of the International Women of Courage and exposed the falsehoods in Prince of Slaves, a Muslim propaganda film aired on PBS. I investigated the ties of the Durham torture Dems to Anti-Israel and Pro-Saddam activism and the Islamist ties of Al Queda's Congressman.

The scope of my writing covers everything from domestic American politics to creeping Islamism in Scotland and how foreign aid makes its way into the hands of terrorists to white aborigines in Australia, Islamist Imams in Libya,  flogging in the Maldives and the hunt for witches in the Muslim world.

I write a daily blog column on issues involving Islamic Terrorism, Israeli and American politics and Europe's own clash of civilizations. My pieces are available to all bloggers to reproduce with proper attribution. Please see the copyright statement below. If you are a newspaper or larger commercial entity, please email me to let me know that you intend to use one of my columns.

If you want to use one of my pieces or have any other questions you can email me and I'll get back to you shortly. If you would like to support my work, donations are appreciated. Just click the button on the top right. If you want an explanation of what "Sultan Knish" means, all I can tell you is that some of the most interesting things in life are random.

Finally my writing philosophy can be gathered from the following quote:

"We have now sunk to a depth at which restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men." George Orwell

Hi Sultan: One of your videos was posted in the Canadian Coalition for Democracies forum. Followed the links and I find myself at your blog which is great by the way. Pleasantly surprised to find references to Israpundit, which I read when I can stand it. I mean of course that all this insanity really gets on my nerves and interferes with my day-to-day functioning so I have to give it a break now and then. I don't know how you and all the others out there blogging daily about the madness in our world can stand it. I really admire your dedication and tenacity. Ted and the gang at Israpundit are brilliant analysts and we're trying to keep on top of things in Canada at CCD by exposing the Islamists in Canada. You should check us out sometime.

Best to you and your blog. Will add you to my roster of blogs that I visit to keep up-to-date on all the nasty.

Shelley from BC

"Terror Cancer Cure"--excellent. Hits the nail smack on the head. Readable, succinct, motivating, and encouraging because it lets us know there are others who can tell the Good Guys from the Bad Guys. And who understand the importance of joining up with the Good Guys. Thank you!

Thank you for your excellent "The Messiah Is Melting" which is refreshing (to say the least).

I scanned your blog briefly and your comments against Islam are intelligent and refreshing. However you fail to recognise the inherent fault in all religion, that will continue to manifest itself so long as faith is treated as a virtue in these backward societies. The defeat of Islam will not be acheived by some rival religious group, but by the next stage in our social-evolution towards rational humanists. Education, science and comedy are all enemies of religion and Islam in particular.

Sultan Knish said...

If anything the rational humanists and the countries that have gone post-religious are the biggest force promoting the spread of Islam

that is something you may wish to consider

Anonymous said...

I like your answer about rational humanists and post-religious societies.

cadenza said...

I have read many of your articles. I am fascinated by the work you do and admire and respect what you do. If rational humanist and countries that are post-religious are promoters of ISlam then what can stop it?
Or is this a natural cycle, that we will have to go through and live the dark ages one more time so that then we can live the age of reason again?

Sultan Knish said...

That is a difficult question. We may be seeing the form into which Western civilization has poured itself into destroying itself, much as Rome did, because it has become intellectually and socially unsustainable.

Reform to a more stable system, one which has clearer limits and a focus on something besides the progressive utopian vision of an all encompassing governmental social system, might save them.

The problem goes deeper than government though, from the birth rates, to the culture, there is a profound death impulse in the blood pulse of Western civilization. If it is not stopped, the lemmings will hit the cliff.

Thanks for your rib-tickling op-ed in the August 5th Jewish press titled Tours For Israel Hating Leftists. You ought to be required reading in high schools and colleges. And congress. The best way to reach them is through laughter, and the best way to deflate the dangerous propaganda balloon of Islam and silly Leftists is to ridicule them. You do it so very, very well. Best of Luck. AuntHoo

I have been a fan of your site for 2 years now and have recommended it constantly to dozens of people , who, in turn , I hope have fwd'd the recommendation on. As a N American Jew who believes that Israel needs to keep Judea and Samaria, I also realize from seeing up close - I mean in going beyond the green line, the diversity ( I hate the word, but its appropriate here)of Jewish views there. From my visits to the Malchut, Elon Moreh, Gates of Shechem sites, I wonder what you think of the future endeavors of the people in that area to usher in a Moshiach age? Jumping the gun at this time? ...this with respect to the current political situation in the country,of course...name: Not Ovenready

I should also add that I have never encountered a writer who so often has echoed the thoughts in my own mind or has the insight to what is causing what.

Daniel Greenfield @ the Sultan Knish blog said...

Ushering in the age of Moshiach is in Hashem's hands. But we can try to live as we should and that includes reclaiming an independent nation where we can do that.

You remind me of one friend of mine. I gave him a yellow six-pointed star to pin on his lapel. He did. In black, block letters, using the German language it said, "Juden Geladen". Armed Jew. His son is IDF, Paratroop Regiment--- and he ain't bad himself.

Best quote, by someone else, comes from a sign over the urinals in the Officer's Club at Tan Son Nhut Airbase [Saigon]: "The tiny pink candies at the bottom of the urinals are reserved for Field Grade Officers and Above."
[Irish Catholic, 'Nam Vet grunt, USC and you can probably guess the rest.]

I have thought highly of your essays and have copied and saved several of your articles from Canada Free Press. Your insight is expressed with precision and power, and illuminates thoughts at the periphery of my experience.

Your blog will be a resource I will certainly visit often.

PS How do I "comment" as myself rather than using the drop down menu.

Sir: well thought out & written piece.

Recommendation: if you have not done so, by all means read JSchumpeter's Democracy, Socialism & Capitalism. It is best known for the 'creative destruction' line about capitalism. But to many that is a 3rd order concept in the book when so much more matters there.

His analysis of the inter-action between entrepreneurs, capitalists, business-owners, business-founders, the political class (particularly socialists ....and he uses the term more generically as defined by the time .....1930s/1940s) , and labor/general populace is probably the most insightful & accurate examination of this subtle, but crucial, area of modern economic development thought ever written. It goes beyond economics such that it is appropriate for your read in light of what your "Gov't is Magic" post covers.

are your FPM articles posted in this blog too?

Daniel Greenfield @ the Sultan Knish blog said...

No, just on FPM

jay said...

dude, you are a total badass. these are two of the most genius lines I've ever read, ever.

"Compassionate people who care about others are always "smarter", no matter how stupid they might be, because they care about the world around them."

"his supporters know that they are smart because they support a smart man and Obama knows he is smart because so many smart people support him."

You write with the freshness, originality, and clarity of Ayn Rand, who was often referred to as Mrs. Common Sense, although her sense wasn't so common.
