Muslim Hysteria over Fitna around the World

Half the Jordanian Parliament demands an end to diplomatic relations with the Netherlands. Iran, Pakistan have summoned their Dutch ambassadors demanding an explanation. Malaysia's crazy Muslim uncle Mahatir is calling for a boycott. Sudan's genocidal Al-Bashir is talking about human values. Cairo's center of Islamic theology Al-Azhar University is warning of "serious consequences".

Damascus - Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir called on Muslims at an Arab summit in Damascus to "challenge those who insult" the prophet and proposed "a binding international charter" calling for the respect of religious beliefs. (a binding charter, I believe they call that Sharia)

"The offenses against our Arab and Islamic nations under the banner of freedom of expression are derogatory and defamatory and go against all human values," al-Bashir said. (as opposed to raping and murdering hundreds of thousands of people as al-Bashir's government has done)

Amman - Following the release of Geert Wilders' film Fitna, a group of 53 Jordanian MPs have delivered a petition to their government in Amman, demanding that it break all diplomatic ties with the Netherlands. They also want the Dutch ambassador expelled from the country. The Jordanian parliament consists of 110 members, 60 of whom were present when the petition was delivered.

Java - On the Indonesian island of Java hundreds of Islamic students took to the streets of the city of Magelang to protest against the film. Indonesia's Minister for Social Affairs Bachtiar Chamsyah had previously called for demonstrations.

Malaysia - Former Malaysian leader Mahathir Mohamad urged the world's 1.3 billion Muslims to boycott Dutch products. Foreign Minister Rais Yatim said in a statement late Saturday that Wilders "must bear full responsibility over the release of the movie and the consequences of his action." (a none too subtly veiled threat)

Cairo - Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit called Wilders' film "a humiliation" to Islam. Egypt's Grand Imam Mohammed Sayyed Tantawi asked the Dutch government to do everything in its power to prevent Wilders from releasing his movie. "or the consequences will be severe."

Karachi - Police are tightening security around a Dutch consulate in Pakistan after Muslims angrily protested a Dutch lawmaker's anti-Quran film. About two dozen students burned an effigy of lawmaker Geert Wilders in front of the Karachi press club Saturday, a day after hundreds protested across Pakistan.

Bangladesh - "This totally unwarranted and mindless action can have grave consequences... because it will offend millions of Muslims around the world," a foreign ministry statement said on Friday. "Islam is a faith of peace which preaches patience and understanding," it said. (If Islam is so peaceful, patient and understanding, why worry about offending Muslims?)

  3. Strangely, they react to the movie and not their own Koran, which inspired the film and the terrorism inflicted by its followers. They should be banning the Koran for being anti-Islamic. Warped logic, I know, but isn't warped logic the hallmark of Islam?

I watched the first ten minutes of "Fitna" last night on You Tube. The images and Koran verses really didn't come as too much of a shock, horrible as they are. It's pretty much what I would have anticipated.

Oddly though, what I found most disturbing was the use of The Arabian Dance music from the Nutcracker Suite throughout the movie.

I've always considered The Arabian Dance sequence an strange addition to The Nutcracker; a child's fantasy and dream on Christmas Eve. Though it is quite successful at convey that the entire portion of the ballet is all a dream.

The Arabian Dance segment is much much sexual than any other part of the ballet.

It's sort of romantic but not in the pure, beautiful manner as the dance between the Snow Queen and the prince. Not in the least. It is is sexual.

Not to mention that this particular piece of music is haunting and hypnotic.

The persistently repeating melody makes it hard to escape. Unlike Ravel's "Bolero" or Barber's "Adagio for Strings" which also repeat a melody throughout, "The Arabian Dance" doesn't reach an arch and end as they do.

It continues and could go on indefinitely--until the orchestra stops playing. Only when the conductor says stop would it stop.

Listen to the entire "Arabian Dance" on You Tube and you'll see what I mean.

Anyways...this hypnotic quality of The Arabian Dance in Fitna is probably what made the film so unsettling, at least for me.

Here I was watching these horrific images flow by one by one so smoothly and effortlessly to this hypnotic music that could go on and on as if it were all a dream.

But it's not a dream, which is why I found it deeply disturbing.

  4. RE: More Muslims than Catholics.. 6 of one, half a dozen of the other. Not a huge difference when either religion gets into position of power as history proves.
I daresay there is more blood at the door of the Vatican than Mohammedans can claim.

  5. Their response is comical and shows how mentally retarded they are. It's their own teachings being shown. It's their own actions applying what they believe being shown. I think they just love to whine.

  6. That's true. I think the Vatican and Islamic countries will unite to attack Israel (the Vatican initially through attempts at conversion and Islam through terrorism).

Afterwards, it will be a battle between Catholicism and Islam. It's happened before. Richard the Lionheart versus ??? can't recall the Muslim's name.

  7. Hi again. I just re-read your post and it occurred to me that some of the condemnations of the movie actually sound more like threats, particularly the response from Bangladesh.

Also, I watched the second part of Fitna about an hour ago. I rolled my eyes at the guy in the Dutch mosque that said liberalism, democracy and socialism all orginated in the human brain.

Yeah. Unlike Islam and Sharia Law which originated in the human butt.

  9. They should take this opportunity to SHOW that the film does not speak for them, that the KORAN rather, does not represent them. They should take it as an opportunity to step up, but no.

Their reaction PROVES the film correct.

"The Iranian government were among the first to criticise the film, too, taking time out from executing children, again in the name of Islam, to denounce it roundly.

But ...most people realise that this fake outrage is in no way genuine, ...it's all part of a cynical campaign of intimidation by the Islamic world to force unwanted Islamic values into western society.

That's why in every free country there are now aggressive Islamist pressure groups, usually funded by the Saudis, who claim to speak for all Muslims, but who actually speak only for a small band of fanatical bigots like themselves,

...Who are very quick to insult our culture and values as degenerate and immoral, while being themselves ultra sensitive to any perceived criticism,

portraying themselves as victims, as oppressed, rather than the oppressors they are, knowing that if you repeat the lie often enough people will start to believe it.

...Goebbels taught ...that little nugget of wisdom, and the would-be authors of the next Holocaust have learned the lesson well.

... The 21st century... was going to be a new golden age, the space age, an age of knowledge and discovery...shaken off the shackles of superstition.... We...have the technology to reach for the stars, maybe even create paradise right here on earth.... .

Well, here we are, and what have we got? We've got Islam, a violent 7th century desert dogma that wants to take over the world, remove our freedom, subjugate women, brainwash children, persecute Jews and ...drag us all back a thousand years.

And all we can do is make excuses for it for fear of causing offence.

We really are pathetic, aren't we?

...People living 500 years from now will look back on this period of history, and they'll laugh at us.

    Well, wouldn't you?

    Peace.
