You consistently put out some superb analysis! The only question I still have not found an answer to, what should we do to save ourselves?

When I say Obama thinks it will bring peace, I don't mean between Muslim and Jew. He thinks it may bring peace with the Muslim world, or at least the Arab world, though non-Arab Muslims, or non-pure Arab Muslims like Obama have to be pretty conflicted about the issue considering how Arab Muslims tend to treat them like dirt.

Israel's lack of PR has been a major problem for a long time, but that's essentially because Israel has never properly adapted to or recovered from the liberal rejection of it

You have clearly illustrated the utter fallacy of 'liberating palestine' and the entire 'palestinian cause', to which so much of the world subscribes.

I think you are being very generous in suggesting that Obama might possibly believe his policies re Israel etc could bring peace. I think the truth is somewhat darker. Anyone who could actually stand there in Cairo and state publicly that Islam promotes 'racial tolerance' is more than a fool. That wasn't merely diplomacy - it was *fiction*.

I would also suggest that a major problem is Israel's lack of PR. Israel is always on the defensive against Arab propaganda. Arab and Muslim revisionism is WORKING.

It's far more dangerous, I would submit, than Holocaust Denial.

This is not a recent problem. Israel's PR has been a major problem since at least 2002 and this DOES have repercussions.

Thank you for this interesting & enlightening explanation of the muslim world wanting to unite and Israel standing in their way. Just like GWB thought he was "ordained by God" to bring peace (and democracy) to the middle east, perhaps Obama thinks he is "ordained by Allah" to reunite the muslim world and in so doing bring about the destruction of Israel. My gut instinct tells me that those who know what they support and those who don't both know exactly what they support. It's just that the later is less public and vocal about it.

This might be off the wall but...though I don't think people are destined to be either good or evil I do believe that some people as Jung suggested have different archetypes and are more prone to behave in certain ways.

Some are supportive of Jews, other destructive, others silent in the face of persecution. There have always been Oscar Shindlers and Corrie Ten Booms throughout history just as there have been Adolf Hitlers, SS, and silent accomlices.

It's happened so often and predictablty through history that it does make me wonder if Jung was right about archetypes and perhaps there are anti-Semitic archetypes as well.

The "Shoah Dream Project" web site is interesting. It documents various dreams people have had about the Shoah.

Some have recurring dreams about being victims. Others about being righteous genitles saving Jews and others about being Nazis.

It just makes me wonder...

There was an excellent article titled "Palestinian Irredentism: The Lesson of History" by Steven Plaut showing the astonishing parallels between the situation of pre-War Czechoslovakia & Israel's current situation.
Israel has a large & hostile Arab population with Israeli citizenship - 1,5 million or about 20% of Israel's population. In the event that an independant Palestinian state is created, what will be their reaction? They will want open borders, they will want "family reunification" meaning unrestricted immigration of Arabs into Israel, they will demand the right to marry & bring their spouses to Israel.
You can bet that they will also aid terrorists to infiltrate into Israel, they will pass information to terrorist networks, & many will engage in ''homegrown'' terrorist operations.
