Netanyahu has done very well by offering a committment to the creation of a Palestinian Arab state that will give up on terrorism. Netanyahu knows the likelihood of Palestine accepting such an offer will happen as soon as "pigs fly over Gaza."

But more importantly, it undermines the meddling of Obummer, who has demonstrated a propensity for embracing Palestine and everything Muslim.

Remember, it's the Obummer administration who has committed to train Palestinian forces, to be deployed in the West Bank. How many millions has Congress committed to the arming of such Palestinian "security battalions?"

I think we all know what these so called "security battalions" are really about!

This is what makes Netanyahu's offer all the more brilliant! This offer puts Obummer squarely in the position of pro-Palestinian, as we already know he is. Palestine is never going to agree to a "terrorist free" accord! Especially when Obummer is the one subsidizing the arming and training of the Palestinians!

Netanyahu gets full credit(actually it's always been Israel who has offered concessions, in order to broker peace in that region)in his willingness to make concessions, and might be willing to do so, but for Obummer's committment to arming Palestine and their Hamas backed, Obummer trained "security battalions."

Asking Palestine to commit to a "terror and weapons free" Palestine is not only necessary, but not in any way unreasonable - any more so than it would be for me to demand a convicted arsonists, who moves in next door to my family, not have access to matches!

It makes sense to me!

I was pleasantly surprised by Netanyahu's speech. I think he addressed the Palestinian state issue very well. There are some questionable parts of course, but I doubt he could go farther without receiving massive backlash. With the coalition he's trying to keep together, it's not easy to maintain balance. I echo what Keli Ata say, we should pray for Netanyahu to have strength and wisdom. Times of crisis sometimes bring out the best in a leader, we can hope it will be the case.

People should pray for Netanyahu. He needs prayer and wisdom.

I came away from his speech with a little different outlook on the Palestinian state issue. The stipulations and many conditions the Palestinians would have to meet are so impossible it's like Netanyahu was saying "Palestinian state yada yada yada...when pigs fly."

I think he's a good man and with public support and prayer he'll do the right thing for Israel.
