Lying Liberal Liars

Every morning the media paws through a dictionary looking for the most innocuous ways to describe Obama's big health care lie.

According to the New York Times, Obama "misspoke" when he said over and over again that if you like your plan, you can keep your plan. But unlike the times that the smartest man to ever put up his feet on the table in the Oval Office thought that Austrian was a language or that the United States had 57 states, he wasn't misspeaking.

44, as Politico likes to call him, was doing what 1 wouldn't do after he chopped down a cherry tree. And to call a lie, misspeaking, is itself a lie.

Rob Ford didn't misspeak when he claimed not to be on crack, despite being on crack. Barack Obama didn't misspeak when he promised to let you keep your health plan, when he had no intention of letting you do any such thing. And the New York Times didn't misspeak when it tried to pass that lie off as a mere slip of the tongue.

The New York Times, which never hesitated to call George W. Bush a liar,  switched up its euphemisms and began calling Obama's lie an "incorrect promise". NBC News called it a "promise they couldn't keep." The Associated Press called it an "inflated promise."

A few of their more honestly dishonest colleagues in the media argued that Obama did the right thing  because he could never have pried the health plans of Americans out of their grubby little hands if he hadn't promised them that his government takeover of healthcare would affect everyone else but them. Some of the pundits making that argument included those on Obama's regular reading list.

The excuse that Obama lied blatantly about the impact of a law he wanted to pass in order to pass it will no doubt be a great comfort to those gun owners who were willing to trust that his crusade against gun rights would stop where he told them it would and those Republican supporters of amnesty for illegal aliens who believed that he really would secure the borders once he got his millions of newly minted Democratic Party voters

If Obama lied to pass one law, what sensible argument can any of his supporters make for believing him the next time he promises, “If you like your guns, you can keep your guns” or “If you like your borders, you can keep your borders”?

Obama wasn't the first politician to lie. He won't be the last. But most politicians who lie don't have an army of reporters swarming around them to explain that they didn't lie, but just inflated their misspeaking. One man did not get up in front of the microphones and cameras and lie over and over again. The entire liberal establishment lied. And it's still lying.

The media’s lies and excuses, even more than the original Obama lie, reveal why liberals can never be trusted.

If Obama had only lied about being on crack or with an intern, that might be an impeachable act, but an understandable human failing. But he wasn't lying to cover up something shameful that he did. He lied because he didn’t think Americans deserved to keep their health plans… or the truth.

Obama lied because he is a liberal.

That Obama would lie was an inevitable as the sun rising in the morning and the taxman coming in the spring. The lie was baked into the nature of the progressive movement that he identified with and its social experiments with human lives for the greater good that he participated in.

Lying isn't incidental to a liberal. Liberal is another word for liar. Someone who believes, as Obama and his media cronies do, that Americans are too stupid and ignorant to be trusted to choose their own health care, isn't about to trust them with the truth.

Telling someone the truth shows that we respect them as people. We give them the information and then trust that they will make the right decision. Trust and respect are the key words here.

Liars don't trust and respect people. Neither do liberals.

Liberals don't believe that the people they lie to are their equals. If they did, not only wouldn't they lie to them, but they wouldn't subscribe to a skewed leftist take on liberalism that compels them to take away choices from people for their own good.

You don't take away someone's right to choose unless you think that they are inferior to you. The  policies of liberalism can only be justified by assuming that the people whose lives they run into the ground are their ethical and intellectual inferiors.

If you think that the next person over can run his life just as well as you run yours, then there's no reason to take over his life and to lie to him about it. But if you think that he’s probably a racist moron who worships the flag and clings to his gun and bible and can't be trusted to buy a car, raise his kids, drink a large soda and see a doctor; then you're probably a liberal.

And a liar.

That's the difference between liberals and conservatives. Conservatives respect people's choices. Liberals don't. And if you don't respect someone's choices, you don't respect them.

If you think that the average person is a moron, then the only answer is to set up to some ideal  republic of liberal philosopher kings who will nudge the marching morons into the death panels for their own greater good while lying to them that the death panelists are really the judges for the next hot talent competition.

If ordinary people don't deserve the basic decency of being allowed to make decisions about their own health care, then they also don't deserve the basic decency of not being lied to their faces about those decisions being taken away from them.

If Obama had trusted and respected Americans, he wouldn't have lied to them about ObamaCare. But if he had really trusted and respected them, then he wouldn't have engaged in a massive government hijacking of their health care options, mandated their participation in health plans at virtual gunpoint and then rewritten the regulations to destroy as many of their grandfathered health plans as possible.

And so if Obama had really trusted and respected Americans, he wouldn't have inflicted ObamaCare on them.

The existence of ObamaCare made it inevitable that Obama would lie about it in the same way that a burglar smashing the window of a jewelery store won't hesitate to lie to the owner about what he's doing. A man who is willing to rob a store or a nation will easily and casually lie about his crime.

Obama's crime isn't the lie. The lie is the cover-up of the crime. The crime is that Obama packaged a tax, a welfare program and a government takeover of health care together and called it reform. That was the bigger lie and there was no misspeaking involved.

The media has shown that Obama's lie was no isolated incident by lying about the lie for the same reason that he told the lie. The health plan lie wasn't the lie of one politician protecting his reputation; it was the big lie of a liberal establishment protecting its agenda.

The liberal media manipulates its readers, listeners and viewers the same way that liberal governments manipulate their citizens. And they both do it because they don't believe that the ordinary person has the right to the truth or the right to his life.

The liberal media manipulates its readers, listeners and viewers the same way that liberal governments manipulate their citizens. Unlike Clinton's lie, Obama's lie was not one man's mistake, but a movement's arrogance. And not only hasn't Obama stopped lying about his lie, but the media and the rest of his movement haven't stopped lying about his lie.

Obama’s big health care lie shows why liberals can't be trusted. Any movement that believes its members are superior to ordinary people cannot be trusted to represent them or to tell them the truth.

As an adherent to the political system which is based on lies, Obama has no choice to but to perpetuate lies. Without it, the whole system collapses. It is an axiom of a true believership, a category into which communism firmly belongs. As system advances, and you are witnessing it, expect the lies to become more unbelievable by today's standards. You will not of course be allowed to remember today's standards nor will your children be taught them in schools. You will not be allowed to dwell on old, as old is a automatically suspicious, since it may contain seeds of truth, the most dangerous one being that it was better in old times then today when everybody lives in paradise on earth. Your old medical plan was worse then the new one. It cannot be otherwise, as the whole system would collapse then. System must be preserved at any cost, and for a system which killed 100M people to-date, lie is simply not a big deal. After all liars are creating paradise on earth!

  9. What's the point? Liberals know this. Conservatives know it. The whole point of contemporary political debate is to crush any intelligent observation by labeling it bigotry. Thus, making political debate a waste of time and energy. The U.S. will have to bottom out before things get better. For instance, this post of yours is racist and disrespects the President. What's the matter with you?

I enjoy your blog because you point out the obvious, thus setting forth in words what we all know. The better questions are... Why is it an act of bigotry to notice reality? How do you break down the wall of censorship and blacklisting that make this possible?

  10. BEST SUMMATION OF BARACK AND MICHELLE EVER!

Mychal Massie is a respected writer and talk show host in Los Angeles.

“As I wrote in a syndicated column titled, -’Nero In The White House’ – ‘Never in my life, inside or outside of politics, have I witnessed such dishonesty in a political leader. He is the most mendacious political figure I have ever witnessed. Even by the low standards of his presidential predecessors, his narcissistic, contumacious arrogance is unequalled. Using Obama as the bar, Nero would have to be elevated to sainthood…’ ”

To Some Dude...Twitter works well. Pull tantalizing quotes, post them there with a link to here. Also use quotes at the bottom of all your emails with a link. I get lots of comments from emails with them, and I know the thoughtfully curious click the links, because they tell me so.

  12. And this is why so many people believe in "conspiracy theories". A party which habitually tells the people lies "for their own good", which seeks to nudge people in a direction preferred by their betters, must conspire. The very act of the small elite gathering to quietly discuss and plan to manipulate the general populace, is the very definition of conspiracy. And those who do not wish to be manipulated, even in "their best interest", by unknown others, will try to theorize about what is going on and why. Sometimes the theorist will misread the conspiracy, sometimes he will get it right. And sometimes truth is stranger than fantasy.

  16. The left understands the true nature of democracy under universal suffrage and control it with the lack of respect which it deserves. Conservatives do not understand this. Neo-reactionaries do. This was all described by Tocqueville in painful detail.

If there is a reaction to the last five years, it will be a pause only, like Reagan was. Universal suffrage is inexorable. Change that or you have changed nothing.

Obama was the best thing that could have happened to this country.

My grandfather told me back in the 70's that Democrats believe they think they know how you should live better than you. He said that they justify lying as a means to an end because they believe that in the end you'll be better off. He also said one way you can spot them is by their hypocrisy, that they justify exempting themselves from what they want for you.

I suspect that they lie to themselves as well. They are not only convinced that we are morons; they probably have the same disdain for reality. I can't imagine these cats investigating reality like, say, Faraday. dr

Their lies are buried deeply mirror-opposite the truth. They are easy to entertain as very similar to the truth on the surface, but they become exponentially untruth as we buy into them. If America doesn't look like the country you used to know, this is why. Unfortunately, many establishment republicans are going under too.

  22. I find it hard to believe Obama is lying. Somehow it's even worse, and more banal than that. To us, yes, if we were doing it what he is doing, we would call it lying. To him, well, one script is as good as another. He has no intention to deceive us because he simply has no intentions toward us.

  23. To politicians and pathological liars (virtually synonymous anymore), lies aren't "wrong," because these creatures base their statements, written or oral, on what philosophy would call the "primacy of consciousness." That is, reality is what they want it to be, not what it is. To them, the primacy of existence is a "myth," and an imposition because truth and facts get in the way of their wishes and political agenda. So, lies are necessary, and liars shouldn't be judged for lying and making careers out of lying. Obama and Pelosi and Reid are not losing sleep over any accusations against them of lying. Reality is malleable to them and if a lie doesn't work one time, they'll try another lie tomorrow. It's all the same to them. It's not a moral issue. It's an issue of pragmatism, of what works one day and not another. Charges of lying to the American public about ObamaCare mean nothing to these creatures.

The defining trait of a psychopath is lack of conscience. One is forced to look for the bigger picture when faced with realizing how many diagnosable psychopaths have banded together to successfully take control. One has to believe in a Divine plan afoot, a remedy mere mortals cannot understand. We are at war with dark principalities.

We can point out the blatant, political lies all day long, yet so many immoral imbeciles will still vote for them. Obama lying to these people is one thing, but they must lie to themselves in order to buy into the whole scam. This is beyond pathetic - it's deranged!

  26. There is a memorable line from "Lawrence of Arabia," when the diplomat, Dryden, upbraids T.E. Lawrence for lying to the Arabs about Britain and France's plan for the Mideast once the Turks (and the Germans) have been defeated. "A man who tells lies, like me, merely hides the truth. But a man who tells half-lies, has forgotten where he's put it." He is accusing Lawrence of telling the Arabs half-lies, of misleading the Arabs about the victorious powers' true intentions, of believing his own lies (that is, wishing things to be true). I think anyone who voted for Obama twice, knew in their guts that he was a liar, a thief, and a fraud, but "hoped" it wasn't so, that he could actually deliver on his promises. And I think now many of them are having reality shock. Just desserts.

If Hillary Clinton runs for president it will be interesting to see how much emphasis she'll put on national healthcare, since Bill basically foisted her on the American people and she pushed and pushed for national healthcare and got b**** slapped by the American public for it. Quite the backlash as I recall. She might not want to force the issue if she runs because of that.

    Me? I won't vote for Monica Lewinsky's boyfriend's wife.

Looking back...Bill Clinton's lie about his relationship with her was much more convincing than the truth. Pathological liars for sure.

  31. Good piece Sultan but for one major assumption - where did you get the impression that conservatives respect people's choices and their individuality?
Do you too live in a bubble?

I"ve met and argued with conservatives who can't stand women's equality, free choices to live how they wish, the fact that they may (in an emergency) need an abortion, that their bodies are THEIRS, nobody else's.
There are conservative politicians in my country that do not trust their constituents' wishes on sensitive issues but decide to appropriate certain issues for their own as "conscience votes", despite them not being paid to exercise their conscience, but the will of their constitutents.
There are conservatives that do not trust individuals actions or wills if those actions and wills are not based on religious faith.
Conservatives - the increwdibly wealthy ones - are not averse to profiting from liberal lying policies if it benefits them. Mitt Romney for example, had a mini-me version of Obamacare in his state of Mass.
Conservatives have their virtues, as do (some liberals). But since so many liberals are not actually liberals but Marxists, you'll have to distinguish between the several breeds before the real comparisons can take place.
Conservatives are currently the ones on the bottom in the USA, becuase they couldn't be bothered to vote out the Obamanation from office, when all it tooik was a drive in the car and the pulling of a lever - and that notwithstanding the corruption around the voting."
There are lots of conservatives mouthing annoyance and saying "don't push us cos we'll fight back hard." Well some of them set up the Tea Parties, but not enough cared enough about or recognised the political arena as space that you need to be in to get your country back.
Stupidity, apathy and lack of pressure for Republicans to do their jobs and protect the country. Oh, and lamentations - lots of lamenting and "praying" - no good political candidates and no strategy to fight the Obamanator.
I suppose when Hillary gets in it'll be Good Moaning Conservative again and wondering where to run to instead of getting in and fixing things because we're so tired of politics" (as someone wrote to me once in a discussion about voting.)
